Opening Night Videos & Setlist: Arcade Fire Returns To The Stage For First Time Since 2014

August 2014 was the last time Arcade Fire held a full live performance before making their return to the stage last night in Spain. The group appeared at Razzmatazz in Barcelona where they played a set that drew equally from each of the band’s four studio albums.

Fittingly, Arcade Fire chose “Ready To Start” from the 2010 album The Suburbs to begin last night’s concert. Sticking with songs from that record, “The Suburbs,” “The Suburbs (Continued)” and “Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)” continued the show. Next came the title track to 2013’s Reflektor, and fellow album cuts “Afterlife,” “We Exist” and “Normal Person,” before turning to Neon Bible’s “Keep The Car Running.” That was followed by “Intervention” and the first “My Body Is A Cage” since 2012, also from their 2007 sophomore LP.

The end of the set worked in “Haiti,” “Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels),” “Neighborhood #2 (Power Out)” and “Rebellion (Lies)” from their 2005 debut Funeral, closing the main set with the Reflektor single “Here Comes The Night Time.” For the finale, frontman Win Butler led the ensemble through “Wake Up” off their first full length.
