Singer-songwriter ANOHNI announced 2024 North American Fall Tour dates with her band The Johnsons. The trek marks ANOHNI and The Johnsons first tour since 2014.

NPR’s All Songs Considered described ANOHNI as “one of our generation’s greatest protest singers/songwriters.” ANOHNI & The Johnsons’ latest studio album, My Back Was a Bridge for You to Cross, arrived in July 2023.

An artist with an emphasis on animist and eco-feminist themes, ANOHNI stated: “For me, there’s no heavenly respite; Creation is a spectral and feminine continuum, and we remain an inalienable part of Nature.”

ANOHNI also detailed the decision to start touring again.

“I am presenting a series of concerts in Mexico, the US and Canada this fall,” she said. “It is my first time touring since 2016, and first time with a band in 14 years. I feel like I want to sing for people, to affirm that these times are unprecedented, and to hold and express a sense of what’s really happening.”

Following a European Tour that kicks off next week, the North American Fall Tour launches on September 24 in Mexico City. ANOHNI & The Johnsons will then head to Los Angeles for performances on September 27 and September 28.

October 1 will see the the band in Oakland ahead of a show in Vancouver on October 5. The tour continues in Seattle on October 7 before heading to Chicago for a performance on October 12.

On October 15, ANOHNI and company will play in Toronto. The tour will wrap up at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House with shows on October 18 and October 19.

Following a presale, tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m. local time.
