Andy Frasco pulled off a “jambush” during Turkuaz‘s encore on Friday night in Pittsburgh. Frasco was on hand to lead support act at The Rex Theater.
Turkuaz came out for their encore when Frasco emerged dressed in guitarist Dave Brandwein‘s traditional blue attire. Andy pretended he was Dave as he smoked a joint and asked the capacity crowd if they wanted to hear one more song. Brandwein then emerged, asked Frasco what he was doing and pushed Andy into the audience. Frasco went on to dance with fans as Turkuaz capped the night with “Bubba Slide.”
Andy Frasco & The U.N. were joined by Turkuaz’s Sammi Garett on drums during their support set. Turkuaz’s performance included “Mister Man” and “Better Get Ready” off their Afterlife EPs. Additionally, the band worked unreleased songs “Heat Drop,” “Brain Drain” and “Take ‘Em Down” into their set.
