Andra Day Honors Bill Withers On ‘Colbert’

By Scott Bernstein May 19, 2020 8:25 am PDT

Andra Day was Stephen Colbert’s musical guest on Monday’s The Late Show. Day paid tribute to Bill Withers, who died last month, by performing a medley of two of his songs.

The 35-year-old singer-songwriter was accompanied by a guitarist for performances of “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Use Me.” Bill Withers originally released “Ain’t No Sunshine” on his 1971 studio album, Just As I Am. “Use Me” appeared on Withers’ next studio album, 1972’s Still Bill.
