Watch Anaïs Mitchell Perform Live For World Cafe
The singer-songwriter, musician and playwright starts a tour in which she’ll perform with both her solo band and Bonny Light Horseman tonight.

Anaïs Mitchell recently performed a four-song set for NPR Music’s World Cafe. Mitchell was accompanied by her solo band for material from her forthcoming self-titled solo album which is due out this Friday, January 28.
Marking her first solo LP since 2012, Anaïs Mitchell was produced by the singer-songwriter, musician and playwright’s Bonny Light Horseman bandmate Josh Kaufman. Anaïs is accompanied for her World Cafe performance by Kaufman as well as Anaïs Mitchell contributors bassist/saxophonist Michael Lewis and drummer JT Bates. Mitchell opened the session with “Backroads” and then led the group through “Bright Star.” Performances of “Revenant” and “Little Big Girl” brought the set to a close.

Anaïs Mitchell will do double duty performing with both her solo band and Bonny Light Horseman during a tour that starts tonight at the Belly Up in Solana Beach, California. The run sweeps throughout the United States until February 28.
