An Evening With Wavy Gravy | New York City & Berkeley
By Scott Bernstein Sep 10, 2014 • 12:20 pm PDT

The man who came into this world as Hugh Romney will tell many tales during four performances at The Marsh in Berkeley, CA on September 27 & 28 and October 4 & 5. After that, Wavy heads to The Big Apple to present the show at City Winery on October 20.
Wavy Gravy has seen and done nearly all over the course of his 78 years from standing on the stage at the original Woodstock to inspiring a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor to co-directing Camp Winnarainbow to sharing a room with Bob Dylan to his 50+ year friendship with the members of the Grateful Dead to MC’ing Gathering Of The Vibes and on and on. He’s even opened shows for John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Peter, Paul & Mary and Ian & Sylvia and received his nickname from none other than blues legend B.B. King. There’s no lack of material from which Wavy can pull for these rare appearances.
Tickets are currently available via each venue’s website (The Marsh & City Winery).
