Outlaw country music legend Willie Nelson was forced to end his concert early yesterday. The 84-year-old performer cut short his show at USANA Amphitheatre in West Valley, Utah due to altitude sickness.
According to reports, Nelson was a few songs into his set when he abruptly left the stage and did not return. He was purportedly taken to a nearby hospital. Nelson posted an update on his condition early this morning on social media, writing the “altitude just got to me.”
Illness also forced Nelson to cancel a number of shows in February. Those cancellations were attributed to a “bad cold” at the time. Nelson is next expected to perform tomorrow at Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California.
