ALO continued a tradition on Monday by performing a Memorial Day concert at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California. The show featured guest appearances from guitarist Nat Keefe and keyboardist Jordan Feinstein.

The band opened their first of two sets with a run of “Push,” “Sugar On Your Tongue,” “Waiting For Jaden” and “After The Rain.” ALO then worked a cover of Don Henley’s “Boys Of Summer” into their own “Speed Of Dreams.” Next, Keefe of Hot Buttered Rum emerged to join the four-piece on “IV Parts 1 & 2.” The frame concluded with the sequence of “Blew Out The Walls,” “Spark” and “Room For Bloomin.”

ALO kicked off the second set with “The Ticket” before reaching back for “Country Electro.” A cover of the Pointer Sisters via Allen Toussaint’s “Yes We Can” included “China Cat Sunflower” teases from guitarist Lebo (Dan Lebowitz). Then, Feinstein came out to join in on “Plastic Bubble.” Next, ALO jammed “Dead Still Dance” into “Tequila” and “I Wanna Feel It” into the Grateful Dead’s “Scarlet Begonias.” The quartet worked from “Scarlet” into “I Love Music” and ended the set with the pairing of “Lady Loop” and “Roses & Clover.” For the encore, multi-instrumentalist Zach Gill led a rendition of Elton John’s “Bennie & The Jets” that was followed by “Walls Of Jericho.”
