ALO Covers ‘Shakedown Street’ & Reveals Fillmore Themes

Last Saturday, ALO brought their Tour d’Amour X to Crystal Bay Casino in Crystal Bay, Nevada. The group treated fans in attendance to a cover performance of “Shakedown Street” by the Grateful Dead.

The quartet added “Shakedown” to Saturday’s setlist ahead of a rendition of their “BBQ.” Guitarist Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz handled lead vocals on the energetic cover. Audience-shot footage of “Shakedown Street” > “BBQ” was captured by azherbboy and can be seen below:

In other ALO news, the quartet has revealed the themes for their two hometown shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco on Friday and Saturday. Fans are encouraged to dress accordingly, with Friday’s theme being “Technicolor Time Tangler” and the show featuring a horn-aided performance of the band’s 2002 album Time Expander in its entirety. Saturday’s theme has been dubbed the “ALOXOXO Black And White Ball.” Stu Allen & Mars Hotel open Friday, while Mike Love supports Saturday.

Like last year, ALO will also play a special matinee Sing-Along For Kids concert at The Fillmore before Saturday night’s show. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. PT and special kids guests are expected to join the band onstage.
