The Allman Betts Band Performs Live At WFUV

By Ming Lee Newcomb May 14, 2019 1:15 pm PDT

On March 27, The Allman Betts Band made their official debut at New York City’s Brooklyn Bowl. However, earlier in the day, the group headed by Devon Allman and Duane Betts performed a special set for WFUV Public Radio to preview the show.

Now, the radio station has released two pro-shot videos from the group’s brief set of originals. The first finds the band performing the laidback tune, “Melodies Are Memories,” which is highlighted by tasteful guitar licks and Betts and Allman’s tight harmonies. WFUV has also released a take on “All Night,” which features Allman on lead vocals and takes on a more soulful tone.
