Soul artist Allen Stone served as the musical guest on Monday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live episode. Stone was joined by two backing vocalists in performing “Bed I Made.”

“Bed I Made” is one of 11 tracks from throughout Stone’s career Allen reimagined for Apart, an acoustic album that arrived last November. “I wrote ‘Bed I Made’ with my buddy Matt Wertz when I was 22 years old,” Stone explained when the Apart single was released. “This song has taken on so many forms. From full band recordings to me and a guitar in your Uncle’s backyard. This version of the tune is pretty damn special though.”

Apart, which also features a cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love,” was recorded in Stone’s home state of Washington at Bear Creek Studios. The LP was produced by Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Brandi Carlile). Allen continues an extensive tour in support of the LP tonight in San Luis Obispo, California.
