Alex G (Alex Giannascoli) recently delivered a Tiny Desk Concert. The prolific singer-songwriter performed songs from his 2022 album God Save The Animals and more at NPR Studios.
God Save The Animals arrived on September 23. Guitarist Alex G and his stripped-down band — bassist John Heywood, drummer Thomas Kelly, guitarist Samuel Acchione and violinist/pianist Molly Germer — got the Tiny Desk underway with the new album’s “Runner” and “Miracles.” The singer-songwriter then offered “Gretel” from his previous LP, 2019’s Sugar House, before taking it back to 2015’s Beach Music with “Snot.”
