Alanis Morissette was among Jimmy Fallon’s guests on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Morissette sat for an interview, performed “Reasons I Drink” and busked at a New York City subway station with Fallon.
Jimmy and Alanis donned disguises and headed to the 50th Street subway station below 30 Rock. The pair performed “The Little Drummer Boy” in front of a gathering crowd. Fallon and Morissette then took off their costumes and ran through a stripped-down acoustic rendition of “You Outta Know” from Alanis’ 1995 album ‘Jagged Little Pill.’ Video of the busking session aired on the episode before Alanis spoke with Jimmy about the upcoming 25th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill, her 2020 LP Such Pretty Forks In The Road and tour with Garbage and Liz Phair. Finally, Morissette led her band through Such Pretty Forks In The Road lead single “Reasons I Drink” to close the episode.
