Alabama Shakes Play ‘Joe’ On ‘The Late Show’

Last night, Alabama Shakes made their The Late Show With Stephen Colbert debut with a performance of “Joe,” a bonus track from the Sound & Color sessions they released to coincide with the TV appearance.

While Alabama Shakes performed on last night’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, it wasn’t frontwoman Brittany Howard’s first visit to the now six-week old program. Howard contributed to an all-star rendition of “Everyday People” at the end of the series premiere.

The Shakes were backed by three vocalists for Wednesday night’s stirring rendition of “Joe.” Watch how it went down:
