Al Howard Tour Dates

Alfred Howard & the K23 Orchestra (AHK23) are five strong rhythmic voices (Rhodes & organ, guitar, bass, drums and vocals) sculpting a collective and cohesive expression and delivering a high-energy live show fueled by rapid-fire conscious lyricism. AHK23 has found an audience in the world of funk fiends, indie fans, hip-hop heads, reggae followers and even poetry lovers. Recently wrapping up a three week summer tour of the northwest, which included festivals such as Oregon Country Fair and Island Music Festival, they will be hitting the road again shortly.

Stops on the AHK23 late summer tour include shows with New Monsoon in Sacramento, SambaDa in Berkeley, multiple dates playing with Izabella, and the Jackson Hole Mountain Festival in Wyoming with fellow lyricist Matisyahu. Largely a California-based tour with a few dates in Utah, it will conclude with the Earthdance in Laytonville, CA, on September 14. The mission of the worldwide Earthdance is “to inspire participation from promoters, clubs, artists, musicians and peace-lovers worldwide to dedicate one day to support humanitarian efforts and help unite people from all nations in a day of peaceful celebration and harmony.” This is a perfect match for Alfred Howard who shares a similar message of “social change through music, art, lyricism and activism.” Howard has won awards and been recognized for his mind-blowing poetry and spoken word.
