The Afghan Whigs will celebrate four decades as a band on their 40th Anniversary Tour. The spring 2026 jaunt will feature support from Mercury Rev.
“40 years later, I still get to do the thing I love the most,” The Afghan Whigs co-founder Greg Dulli stated. “Writing songs and performing them with my friends all over the world. I truly have to pinch myself.”
The celebratory tour launches April 25 at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, New York and runs through May 24 at Pappy and Harriet’s in Pioneertown, California. Along the way, The Afghan Whigs will host a hometown concert on May 6 at Bogart’s in Cincinnati.
The run also includes stops at Webster Hall in New York City on April 30, Union Transfer in Philadelphia on May 1, and Metro in Chicago on May 9, The Fillmore in San Francisco on May 19 and The Bellwether in Los Angeles on May 20.
Tickets to see The Afghan Whigs, who have plans “to release a new record in 2026,” go on sale Friday, January 23.
