AC/DC Busts Out ‘Live Wire’ With Axl Rose In North Carolina

Last night AC/DC returned to perform the first of several rescheduled shows on their Rock Or Bust Tour that were postponed due to former frontman Brian Johnson’s hearing issues and retirement from the stage. Now with Guns N’ Roses vocalist Axl Rose fronting the legendary Aussie rockers, AC/DC held a makeup concert in Greensboro, North Carolina that featured a performance of a song last played by the group in 1982.
As noted by Rolling Stone, much of AC/DC’s setlist last night at the Greensboro Coliseum was made up of selections regularly played during the Rock Or Bust Tour’s recent European leg. Longtime favorites like “Back In Black,” “Thunderstruck” and “Hell’s Bells” preceded a major deviation as the band busted out “Live Wire” for the first time in concert since October 9, 1982.
The show progressed with more hits such as “T.N.T.” “Let There Be Rock,” “Highway To Hell” and “For Those About To Rock (We Salute You).” Audience-shot video highlights of Saturday’s AXL/DC show, including the bust out of “Live Wire,” can be viewed below:
