Back in April the future of legendary rock act AC/DC was in question as rumors swirled that the band would retire due to founding guitarist Malcolm Young’s health issues. Thankfully the Aussie rockers will persevere and today have announced the upcoming release of a new album –Rock Or Bust.

Rock Or Bust, an 11-track album that marks the group’s first studio effort in six years, is due out on December 2 in North America. Baseball lovers will be able to preview the new song “Play Ball” during TBS’s coverage of the playoffs.

There’s additional good news and bad news. The bad news is that Malcolm Young isn’t featured on Rock Or Bust and he will not be rejoining the band due to his health issues. On the plus side, today’s announcement also includes word that AC/DC will embark on a world tour in support of the album with Angus and Malcolm Young’s nephew Stevie filling in for Malcolm.
