‘A Night For Neil’ Peart Coming In Honor Of Rush Drummer

Legendary drummer Neil Peart of RUSH will be honored with the “A Night For Neil” memorial celebration. “A Night For Neil” will take place at the Meridian Centre in Peart’s hometown of St. Catherine’s, Ontario on Saturday, May 16. The lineup will be announced soon.

Neil Peart died on January 10 at age 67. His friends and family are planning “A Night For Neil” with charity Overttime Angels. “We are grateful for the team that Overtime Angels is assembling … we are especially pleased to be able to support this charity event that will benefit some much-needed organizations that are close to our hearts,” said Glen and Betty Peart, Neil’s parents, in a media release as per the CBC.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 28 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. Proceeds will benefit the St. Catherines Hospital & Walker Family Cancer Centre, the Juravinski Hospital & Cancer Centre and the Royal Victoria Regional Health Center.
