A Live Webcast Available Of Tonight’s 2016 Americana Honors & Awards Ceremony

This evening, Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium will host the 2016 Americana Honors & Awards Ceremony. Jim Lauderdale will emcee the event, which is expected to feature performances from Bob Weir, Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris and more, while Weir will also be among those receiving Lifetime Achievement Awards. If you can’t make it to the Ryman in person, there’s a live webcast available for your enjoyment.

In addition to Weir, Krauss & Harris, Shawn Colvin, Bonnie Raitt, George Strait, Jason Isbell, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and The Lumineers are among those expected to perform. Weir, Lauderdale, William Bell, Billy Bragg and Colvin are this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award honorees and they will all pay tribute to Woody Guthrie as per NPR.

There are a number of awards up for grab including Duo/Group Of The Year, which finds Alabama Shakes going up against Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, Lake Street Dive, The Milk Carton Kids and the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Other awards set to be presented are Song Of The Year, Artist Of The Year, Emerging Artist Of The Year, Album Of The Year and Instrumentalist Of The Year.
