Talented youngster Owen York – now age 13 – has been playing piano medleys and mashups since he first sat down at a keyboard in 2009. His newest work is titled “Estimated Hood Bath” as York performs a medley of the Grateful Dead’s “Estimated Prophet,” Phish’s “Harry Hood” and Umphrey’s McGee’s “Hurt Bird Bath,” back into “Estimated.”

Watch Owen’s performance of “Estimated Hood Bath”:

Last year, Owen played keyboards with Umphrey’s McGee during a soundcheck and performed David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” at Madison Square Garden in New York City. York is the youngest member of the Rockland Youth Jazz Ensemble, consisting of musicians from New York and New Jersey. In Fall 2016 Owen recorded a mashup of David Bowie, Queen, Rage Against the Machine and Umphrey’s McGee called “Killing In The Name Of Attachments Under Pressure”:
