On July 17 a new project called Dub Is Dead made its debut at Nectar’s in Burlington. Dub Is Dead features Trey Anastasio Band keyboardist Ray Paczkowski, bassist Nick DeNoia, Dead Sessions drummers Kevin Shapiro and Trevor Ainsworth and guitarist Rudy Dauth joined by DJ Nickel B on effects and samples. 
The Grateful Dead tribute project has shared highlights from its debut including dubby takes on “China Cat Sunflower,” “Crazy Fingers,” “Scarlet Begonias” > “Fire On The Mountain.” Take a listen and stay tuned for future Dub Is Dead announcements:
