Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl fell off stage and broke his leg at a concert in Gothenburg, Sweden today according to TMZ.com. Consequence of Sound adds the show continued while Grohl was tended to backstage and Dave returned to the stage to help the band finish the set.
According to CoS, Grohl’s injury took place during “Monkey Wrench” and the vocalist/guitarist was eventually taken backstage. “Hey, ladies and gentlemen. I love you, but I think I just broke my leg. I really broke leg,” Dave told the audience. The Foos went on with the show as drummer Taylor Hawkins reportedly led the Dave-less band through a number of covers. Eventually, Dave Grohl did return and photos show him sitting in a chair playing guitar and singing while he’s been tended to by a paramedic.
