Rush :: 5.10.15 :: Pinnacle Bank Arena :: Lincoln, NE
On Sunday night rock legends Rush brought the R40 Tour to Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. The second show of the tour featured a few changes from what Rush played at Friday’s tour opener in Tulsa including the live debut of a 13 year old original.
Last night’s show saw Rush continue the tour’s trend of presenting material from their 40+ year career in reverse chronological order based on the album the songs were originally featured on. Once again the trio started with three songs off 2012’s Clockwork Angels but this time the title track was passed over in favor of the tour’s first “The Wreckers.” Rush had two more tour debuts in store for the first set as they offered the live debut of “How It Is” off 2002’s Vapor Trails and busted out Grace Under Pressure track “Between The Wheels” after a seven year layoff. Both the second set and encore saw Rush utilize the same setlist as the tour opener with one exception -“Red Barchetta” was out and “The Camera Eye” (last played in 2011) was in as the second song of the second set.
