For nearly a decade there’s been rumors swirling about the return of the H.O.R.D.E. Tour, the seminal traveling festival that was conceived by John Popper of Blues Traveler. Today, we finally can report on the return of H.O.R.D.E. though it will be for one night only in the U.S. and for now features three bands.

DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan will host the one U.S. H.O.R.D.E. Festival date on July 9. Blues Traveler will headline the show which will also feature performances from 311 and Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m. ET. Look for additional acts to be added soon.

The first installment of the H.O.R.D.E. Festival brought Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Phish, Widespread Panic, Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit and Bela Fleck & The Flecktones to mid-large size venues in 1992. Big Head Todd & The Monsters were among the bands on the 1993 H.O.R.D.E. Tour.
