On thing Phish has mastered over the course of hosting nine festivals is keeping their fans informed of what to expect during the multi-day events. From the days of the snail-mailed Döniac Schvice through present day social media channels, Phish has progressed with their direct-to-fan messaging, particularly when it comes to one of their festivals, and this year’s upcoming Magnaball in Watkins Glen, New York is no exception. Festival specific radio stations and handouts with information about the grounds are great when once you land on site, but until then a smart way to stay on top of all things Magnaball is through the @phishmagnaball Twitter account.

The band published another thorough FAQ replete with the prerequisite silliness and sense of humor, but if you still have a question about Magnaball, the Twitter account is an interactive companion to previously shared sources of information.

The account is also a good resource for additional information about the festival, like volunteering and accommodations, supplied with an expected amount of wry humor.

Sometimes even the best sarcastic tweeters have to adjust their own sarcasm meter…

Meanwhile, the feed for The Bunny, an on-site radio station used for 2011’s Super Ball IX, recently came alive again giving fans hope for its return at Magnaball:

Magnaball takes place August 21 –23 at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York. Magnaball General Admission passes are available but “Glen Close” VIP passes and General Admission RV Passes have sold out
