Since the last time we checked in on Seattle surf-doo-wop outfit La Luz the band has swapped in a new bassist (Lena Simon), toured Europe (a couple of times) and recorded a new album (the still-untitled follow up to 2013’s It’s Alive) which will be released later this year. The foursome –rounded out by guitarist Shana Cleveland, drummer Marian Li Pino and keyboardist Alice Sandahl –has also played plenty of stateside gigs, maintaining an impressively busy schedule. Thankfully the official La Luz Twitter account, @laluzers, is a great way for their fans –affectionately known as Luzers –to follow all the happenings in the quartet’s world.

La Luz has been hustling around Austin, Texas this week with a fully staked schedule of appearances at various locales for SXSW’s Music Festival.

It’s not just from Austin that La Luz keeps its Luzers in the know of all things tour. The band keeps a steady stream of tweets while out on the road, loaded with images and videos of their hijinks and shenanigans from around the globe. Check out these updates from a recent European tour.

When back home in the U.S. the band keeps their follows up to date with both their touring as well as their recording process, including their recent sessions in the studio with Ty Segall.
