Last February crew member Sarah Jones was killed on the set of Midnight Rider, a film adaptation of Gregg Allman’s auto-biography. The film’s director, Randall Miller, has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and criminal trespass for his role in the Jones’ death and received a 10-year sentence as per the Hollywood Reporter.

Miller’s 10-year sentence includes two years in Wayne County, Georgia jail and the rest of the time he’ll serve probation. The director will not be allowed to handle film crews over the time of his probation. “We agree at this time the state could establish the essential elements of the crime,” The Hollywood Reporter reports Miller’s attorney said to the judge in entering the plea.

Jones’ parents each took the stand to read victim impact statements. “I do not seek revenge, but rather I seek healing for all involved, including those responsible for my daughter’s death,” said her father, Richard Jones, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Production on the movie stopped after the February 20, 2014 train incident in which Jones and others were injured when a train passed through where the film was being shot in Georgia.
