So far, these are the only dates for the tour that have surfaced. The lineup for the shows is expected to consist of Robert Fripp, Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Mel Collins and Jakko Jakszyk. Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 6 at noon ET.
UPDATE: King Crimson will kick off their reunion tour at The Egg in Albany, NY on September 9 and 10 according to the venue’s website. Tickets for the Albany shows go on sale Friday, June 6 at 11 a.m. In addition, the band will play Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center on September 12 and 13 with tickets set to go on sale Friday, June 6 at 10 a.m. ET. We’ve also come across a listing for an October 6th show at The Moore Theatre in Seattle. As an interesting aside, the listing for the Seattle show is under the heading “King Crimson Farewell Tour.” DGM has revealed the full tour itinerary will be announced tomorrow and shared Fripp’s thoughts on the first day of rehearsals from the new lineup:
First day of King Crimson rehearsals, with Front Line of three drummers and Back Line of three players (Mel Collins arriving back today from touring in Italy, joining us tomorrow) reporting good days. Personally, i had lotsa fun.
Two Crim Principles articulated:
1.Enjoying our playing together is encouraged.
2.If you don’t wish to play a part, give it to someone else -there’s enough of them!
-Robert Fripp
