Phil Collins Finally Returns To The Stage

In 2011 Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Phil Collins decided to focus on his family life and retired from the music industry for a while. Collins was also suffering from an injury that prevented him from playing the drums. Last November Phil revealed he was feeling better and was looking to play a few shows again, “even with Genesis.” While there’s been little word from Collins since, he finally returned to the stage last night, though not in a setting you’d imagine.

Collins took the stage at Miami Country Day School’s middle school spring concert in Florida to front a band made up of students. Phil mentioned how nervous he was before singing his solo hit “In The Air Tonight” and “Land Of Confusion” by Genesis. The English native’s voice was in fine form throughout.
