Known for his work with James Brown, George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and De La Soul, Maceo Parker is one of the key architects who helped craft funk music into what it is today. Parker originally played the baritone sax but eventually switched over to tenor, creating the rich, rhythmic sound that he is known for today.
