Grampa's Chili: 2012 was a watershed year for Grampa's Chili. We were able to finally release the first Grampa's Chili album, which spawned a lot of shows from Santa Cruz to Portland Oregon. 2012 had some of our most memorable moments and promises some great stuff for next year - well, if there IS a next year. And because there might not be, we're making our list and checking it twice for a full-on end-of-the-world-style Chili stomp-fest, if only to tell our friendly Mayan hosts to make some room 'cause we're comin' through. We really do look forward to seeing everyone while you're still in your current physical forms for this dimension one last time before we all get new bodies, or float around as thought-forms. Corduroy Jim is the very definition of "American Soul Rock". Rooted in the "Singer-Songwriter" genre, "CJ", infuses the styles of soul, blues, country-rock, boogie-funk-jam, psychedelia, and pop into one original, timeless sound. Needless to say, these cats are not a "one trick pony". If one were to describe the sound of Corduroy Jim, it could be said that, "If Pink Floyd played country this is what you would might hear", or "Led Zepplin meets Americana at a peyote ceremony". Others say, "Imagine CSNY met Jeff Buckley at a bar, drank till the sun came up, and played a set loaded with Motown soul and San Francisco jam!".
