Free Download: Wilco Shares New Single ‘Locator’ To Celebrate ‘Star Wars’ Release

Saturday marks the anniversary of Wilco issuing their latest studio album, Star Wars. The band has celebrated the occasion by releasing a brand new song titled “Locator” as a free download.

“Locator” is available free-of-charge in exchange for your email address via the band’s Wilco World website. The song has a similar sound to much of the material from their last album. Wilco dropped Star Wars with little warning or fanfare on July 16, 2015. Shortly after its release, Wilco started performing the LP in its entirety to start all of their shows. More recently they have converted to opening with three Star Wars tracks and have worked other tunes from the LP into their sets.

Next up for Wilco is an appearance at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival.
