Full Show Audio: YMSB Presents Yonder Mountain Gospel Band At RockyGrass

This past Sunday, Colorado’s own Yonder Mountain String Band showed off their musical versatility by presenting the first-ever “Yonder Mountain Gospel Band” set at the RockyGrass Festival. Yonder’s regular lineup was augmented by Sally Van Meter and Lauren Stovall from the The Railsplitters for portions of the special performance.

The Sunday morning set focused on the more spiritual side of YMSB’s repertoire including takes on The Hillmen’s “Going Up,” Open Road’s “Some Things Does Some Things Don’t,” the traditional “I’m Going Up On The Mountain” and more. Allie Kral led the group through “Son Of A Preacher Man” at one point and the performance came to a close with a “Crazy Train” encore. Listen to the entire set below.
