Shore Road Tavern
Philadelphia, PA

The Shore Road Tavern is your typical friendly neighborhood 'dive' bar located in the Wissinoming section of Northeast Philadelphia, just a few blocks from the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, the history of The Shore Road Tavern is linked directly with the construction of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge in 1929, spanning the Delaware River connecting Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Upon completion of the bridge, Philadelphians now had an easier route to the New Jersey coastline, or in Philly vernacular "The Shore". And being located directly on PA Route 73, The Shore Road Tavern was born.

Today the bar remains relatively unchanged from the 40's with the exception of it's new direction of becoming an intimate honky tonk in the Northeast Philadelphia specializing in American roots music; blues, bluegrass, country, rockabilly, surf, and folk. It's a great room with a killer PA system and amazing acoustics. We started doing live events a few times a month starting in March of 2012.
