Bio Ritmo, founded in 1991, is recognized internationally as one of the leading bands preserving the roots of "salsa classica" while taking this music to its next level. Compositions are original, inspired by the Nuyorican "salsa" craze that raged during the 1970's, while incorporating unusual sonic influences such as electronica, afro-beat, brazilian pop, disco and middle eastern grooves.
