Bringing you hot music during the cold winter
3rd Annual Winter Jamfest Tour

The Winter Jamfest 2007 tour will feature a dizzying array of music. In its third year of existence and built around presenter's, Terrapin Beer Co., principle of being "in tune with your taste," the Jamfest tour is bringing back to lovers of good music and beer throughout the southeast the unforgettable concert-going experience of days gone by where fans could enjoy multi-band bills for affordable prices.

The Winter Jamfest tour will treat concert goers to a diverse artist lineup and a bevy of collaborations creating a sizzling festival atmosphere that is sure to sweep the senses and touch the soul.

The Winter Jamfest 2007 tour is a must and should not be missed. The musicians on tour will treat fans to eclectic music from rock to electronica, exploring the spectrum of genres of what we all have lovingly come to call the "jamband scene."

With a line-up of established and up-and-coming artist, the Winter Jamfest 2007 tour is a traveling event that, in the words of John Cochran, Terrapin Beer's co-founder, is sure to "take the summer festival atmosphere and vibe and keep it alive during the winter months" since we had so much fun last year we can't wait to be again "in tune with your taste!"

Involvement by all in this true concert going experience will also assist the worthwhile charitable causes of The Big House Foundation and Rock the Earth that the Winter Jamfest 2007 supports.

What an awesome idea for a tour. Great way to give the up and comers some publicity.

Give the midwest some love though. Cmon. Chicago is only the 3rd largest city in the country!

I'm with danwonsover, great idea, but lacking on and Midwest dates. Takes me back to the Big Summer Classic days... The Bridge is real tight, if anybody gets a chance to check em out.

The sponsor "terrapin beer co." is based out of Atlanta and really only ships to the southeast. Thus it is not in their best interest in promoting events on the west coast or Midwest.

moephishH2O - you should talk to fat tire about having a similar event

danwonsover - I guess you really only have Budweiser to talk to for your love.

Looks fun. Get out of the cold? In the southeast? Might as well have a winter jamfest in Hawaii.

You all complaining about some midwest (especially chi-town) and west coast (esp. Cali) love are sounding abit selfish, the south is definately the on the forgotten list of many multiple tours. No disrespect but we Floridians need the love too. As a matter of fact, we need some more good venues as well (love skippers and janus landing though).

chi-town doesn't need anymore "B" bands, we already have skumphrey's. however, pnuma and elemental harmonics are sick. we'll take them any day of the week!

Terrapin is actually based out of athens. Is moonshine still going to break through at some point? They seem to have been at the same level for a long time. Cool guys, hope they start getting some bigger gigs.

Kaiserbun, I agree with you on Moonshine. Those guys have what it takes, but they won't get big unless they leave the Southeast and tour other areas of the country. Hey Moonshine, ever heard of a "midwest run?" You know, Chicago, Madison, and Minneapolis...preferably Mpls.

Have to agree with Ston. I've been waiting for a MSS midwest tour for some time. I would be at any of the places mentioned by Ston to hear these guys rock.

NO LOVE FOR NYC

Hey Walletsworth and Ston, use this site for what it was designed for ...

MsS has been out of the South for some time now. I spent six years in ATl, and yes, they did indeed take their time getting out of the south. But now that I am in the Northeast again, I was super pumped to see their name on the bill for of the most recent MOEDOWN. They made a NE run, which also included a phenomenal double bill with Perpetual Groove in Troy. And now, MsS is in the midst of a run through the west coast. I got that simply searching them out on this site. I am sure it won't be long till their up and in the Midwest, if they haven't already run through.

Do wish I could be down south for this event though. Looks enticing. Peace to all my southern brethren, wish I could be there enjoying along side you all ...

Some of y'all have obviously been to the south a lot. I'm sitting in NC right now, and it's 23 degrees outside. Seriously though, looks like fun; I'll definitely catch a show or two in the middle of the run.

Oh yeah two Nashville bands representing in there. Old Union is one of my favorite shows right now, so definitely check my boys out they've worked real hard. I've never seen The Loft, but I know they're from the Music City too. As far as not being "winter" down here in the South, "God's Country", it was feeling a lot like winter last nite and today. Lower 20's extra frosty! We don't have snowstorms though, we get ice storms.

They've done some midwest in the past and I'm sure will return. Sorry you missed it. They're in the west right now and are only returning to the southeast in time for this tour in January. As mentioned below, they also did a NE run recently. They're around so keep your eyes/ears open. As for the winter in the south, it's in the 20's here in Macon right now. Just because we don't get snow doesn't mean it's not cold. Bring on the Jamfest and some of that heady imperial stout.

I'm telling you people, watch out for The Bridge. These guys are the real deal. I don't know why they don't get more press then what they've gotten to date but these guys are sick! If you don't know who they are, trust me, it's well worth your time to find out.

Another sick band on the tour is fusebox funk, although they are only playing one show. They are a Jacksonville based band and the really tear it up. You can check them out on Rhapsody or they have some sick shows listed on archive.org - check out the 4-2-05 show.

The Bridge is definitely badass...just had their CD release show where over 1200 tickets sold but outside of Baltimore hardly anyone has heard of them.

Pnuma Trio is also badass...kinda like Particle/Bisco but even more electronica than that.

The Bridge are my favorite band in the country. Was also at the CD release show in Nov. (with >1,200 other fans) where they put on the best show I've ever seen at the Ram's Head Live. (& I won't go into who I've seen there) Check out their new CD. I think it'll get high praise as one of the best of the year! Go Bridge!!!!!!!!

Some very fine up and coming bands here across many genres. This should be a great little run. I wish it was coming anywhere within two states of where I am here in poor miserable Maryland. The real "don't miss" band on the lineup is the Bridge, my fellow Baltimorons who give some very interesting twists to the ole blooze thang and can write songs as well as any band in the country these days.
