Heartbreaking. Passionate. Mesmerizing. Captivating. All words that have been used to describe the singer/songwriter Ray LaMontagne. A troubadour whose name is spreading across the country like a wildfire, LaMontagne recently released his sophomore album, Till The Sun Turns Black, to rapturous acclaim, first week sales that were six times his debut and legions of fans that seem to grow exponentially. He will be launching a U.S. headlining tour in Los Angeles on November 9th that will carry through mid December.

His debut album, Trouble, captured the ears and the hearts of anyone who heard it - the sort of record you tell your friends about, can't stop listening to, wonder what music even sounded like before you heard these incredible songs and with LaMontagne's new album, he has done it again. The Boston Globe praised, "Every once in a great while, a voice like Maine native Ray LaMontagne's comes along: instinctively articulate, emotionally arresting, at once tender and torn in places that strike at the human heart" while Esquire concurs, "There's still nobody singing better than Ray LaMontagne: Ray LaMontagne's Till The Sun Turns Black is gorgeous and ambitious and every bit as thrilling as his debut...:

His new cd is pretty sleepy.. Lots of acoustic orchestral ballads.. Only one track is moderately upbeat. Its a nice cd, and its very relaxing, but definitely super laid back.
He is a good song writer and vocalist. If u like calm music check his new cd out.. peace ya'll
