AS ROBINSON AND HUDSON BREAK UP

Seems like Chris Robinson just can't keep things on the sunny side. After recently patching things up with brother Rich Robinson and getting their band, The Black Crowes back together, Chris is separating from his wife. That's right, movie star Kate Hudson (27) and rock star Chris Robinson (39) have called it quits after six years of marriage. The Hollywood couple tied the knot on New Year's Eve 2000 and have a two-year-old son, Ryder Russell.

But like they say, the show must go on!

Kicking off September 7 in Richmond, VA, the new leg of dates will be highlighted by the band's October 28 performance at the second Vegoose festival in Las Vegas at Sam Boyd Stadium and wraps up November 12 at the Love Ride in Castaic, CA.

Since reuniting and re-connecting with their loyal fans last year, THE BLACK CROWES have been performing what some called "the best shows of their career." While they achieved a career watermark by headlining their New Year's Eve show at Madison Square Garden, the band—Chris Robinson (vocals), Rich Robinson (guitars), Marc Ford (guitars), Eddie Hawrysch (keyboards), Sven Pipien (bass) and Steve Gorman (drums)--also played seven sold-out shows at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom, performed five-nights at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and were headliners at three of the most prestigious festivals in America (New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Bonnaroo, and Austin City Limits Festival). Summing up the allure of THE BLACK CROWES' concert experience, Mikael Wood of The Village Voice (12/28/05) said the band "remain one of rock's best live acts, as hard-grooving as during their heyday and caked with an extra layer of rambling-man soulfulness."

saw them a couple times this summer, allgood and cleveland show, both shows were so hot. better than ive ever seen them, and ive been seeing them since 94. great energy, great sound, great vibes. new years was pimp too but not as pimp as the summer, although seeing trey play with em was too hot as well

Definitely a sick show. Saw them at Hampton Beach in May and Great Woods (tweeter center) this summer. I hope they don't have opener on this tour. I loved RR&Family band, but two sets of the Crowes is the best. Go see them if you can.

Saw them @ Red Rocks 3 nights ago - great overall show! Great set by the Crowes! The Drive-By Truckers were fuckin rad too! RR & the FB, although not my personal favorite, was probably the tightest group of the night.

Can't wait to see the Crowes again in Council Bluffs!

that is so funny that i need a moment to fall down on my living room rug and laugh........ok, im back. after the rumors i heard about why the crowes stopped i find this peice most amusing! i must commend jambase for this wonderfull reporting! sweeties come and go. rock and roll is forever!

CR should roll with tour chicks, anyway!

Saw them a few times this year and they are awesome, probably gonna see them in vegas, and flagg. Should be fun, im glad they are getting the respect they deserve, but screw Kate Hudson.

The Landmark Theater is like stepping into a dreamland as soon as you get outta the car. Never seen the Crowes but have heard good things. Anyone recomend a good show to download?

the crowes are in fine form, best ive seen em... and thats like 12 times in 10 years, check em out, the cleveland show this summer was soo hot, like Kate Hudson hot, and with Koruda on lights, one hell of a show
