On November 12, 2005, a group of musicians came together for the first ever NYC Rex Foundation Black Tie-Dye Ball Benefit and created a night of incredible musical chemistry.
Playing this magical night were The Zen Tricksters (Jeff Mattson, Klyph Black, Tom Circosta and Joe Ciarvella) plus special guests: Mickey Hart, Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay, David Nelson, Tom Constanten, Michael Falzarano, Rob Barraco, Greg Anton, David MacKay and Wendy Lanter.
Out of this event, The Zen Tricksters and Donna Jean Godchaux realized the music was too good to let go, and they had to continue this journey. So they added Mookie Siegel on keys and included Wendy Lanter on vocals and became: Kettle Joe's Psychedelic Swamp Revue.
