They forgot one of the best bands at the festival... RUSTED ROOT!!!!!! Also Primus and Flaming Lips? Sounds good to me.

anyone else having difficulties with the hedgpeth website... I am looking for another fest, but don't know about this one... there is no information... any late night sets? How is it going to be set up? I don't want to necessarily get in on the ground floor of a cluster f*ck

Sounds like a corporate bullshit festival to me. Do you want to see something real? Check out Earthdance, High Sierra, Or some of the great east coast small scenes. This mega-fests are for suckers.

Definately a custie fest. Primus is worth seeing. Speaking of small southeast festivals, I'm thinking there will be something announced on here opposite of camp bisco. Maybe NC mountains? We'll see shortly.

Andrew W.

Why is this all of a sudden being labled as a "custy fest" and a corporate festival? Just because some big music mags said so? Would you say that if High Seirra was on the radar? This guy is selling cheap tickets for a great lineup. I don't see why that needs to be bashed.

well, isn't this like the only primus show this year??? uhhh, sounds pretty worth it for the one night to me.

21+ for camping is really shitty for 19 year olds like myself, but the lineup isn't that great to even go both days. and for those of you going to see flaming lips, i would highly reccomend seeing the flaming lips inside or at any given smaller venue that they play. thats the way to see the lips.

Just because there aren't any major headliner JAMbands doesn't mean this is gonna be a custie fest. Music lovers are music lovers, no matter what type of music is loved, and every music lover would be stoked to see a lot of their favorite bands all in one weekend. Just because they aren't in to jambands doesn't make them custies. I hope everyone who goes has a blast.

P.S.= All Good is NOT the answer, unless you wanna go to the most ghetto festival full of the most ghetto people one can find at a fest, big or small. It has a cool location, but the worst vibe.

Have you ever fucking been to bonnaroo or all good? i'll bet you haven't. I know it's cool to bash bonnaroo but saying all good is better then bonnaroo is fucking ridiclous and confirms the fact you've been to one or neither. the all good festival last year was the biggest peice of shit festival ever. people getting pistol wipped, philly thugs w/ nitrous having more authority then the god damn security..i have never heard scumbags offer more heroin or coke while passing by until all good. or how about the fact that the owner of the site threatened to tow all the cars that weren't off the site by sundfay night? or maybe the fact that it was so unorganized that none of the festival staff had no fucking idea what to do when people's cars were stuck in the mud. or maybe that AWFUL particle set that had japanese wrestlers and and annoying announcer screaming for 2 hours. or maybe the complete lack of anything besides a stage and about 10 vendors (no shakedown at all). i could go on and on. fuck you for being one of those tools who proclaims that the smaller festivals are better then the bigger ones just to be "heady".
All good? there was nothing all good about that festival...i'll take bonnaroo any fucking year..

Sounds like a great fest just with headliners. But for those of you who don't know them, Trampled By Turtles, The Whigs, Cloud Cult, and Slightly Stoopid are some very exciting low flying bands that need to be seen. These guys are a great bonus to the anchors of the weekend.

Unfortunately the organizer planned Hedgepeth the same weekend as the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. I think people "in the know" of real indie music, will probably avoid this scene and go to Chi-town. (Flaming Lips, Primus, Kings of Leon, TMBG are not really considered indie rock anymore). I do give them credit for keeping prices low, and I would love to see Mike Patton's new band. I wish it was on a different weekend.

All Good got pretty ugly last year after the security got ran out. Otherwise I would say that it's been a really chill festival all 5 years I've gone.

I like how this article was about hedgpeth but it ended up being all about all good and bonaroo...man i think people just really need to get over themselves...here's how i see it..i love the lips and kings of leon and it's not a lot of money plus it's 10 minutes from my home so I'm going and i'm damn happy about it. All you people who keep complaining why don't you do something about it if it makes you so mad...get off your ass and get into the field of organzing festies...complaining isn't going to make a shit of a difference.
