STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9) to Kick Off Fall Tour 2006
with Two Nights in Colorado!
Jurassic 5 confirmed to share the stage with STS9 at Red Rocks!
Both bands to perform "fan-club" shows @ Boulder's Fox Theatre on opposite days

STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector Nine) and Jurassic 5 are pleased to announce they will join forces to perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Saturday, September 9, 2006. This show marks the first collaborative effort between the two groups.

In conjunction with their performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, each band will also perform exclusive Fan Club only shows at the intimate Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO on September, 8 (STS9) and September 10 (J5).

STS9 kicks the weekend off with an all-ages show at the Fox on Friday, September 8, at 9:30 p.m. Then both bands will perform at Red Rocks on Saturday September, 9 with J5 performing a long set to start off the night and STS9 to finish the show with two full sets. Finally, Jurassic 5 will close out the weekend with an all-ages show at the Fox on Sunday, September 10 at 9:00 p.m.

Tickets to each band's performance at the Fox Theatre are only available as part of a two-day pass in conjunction with the September 9 Red Rocks show. This means that with each purchase of a Fox Theatre ticket fans will also receive a Red Rocks ticket as well. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no Fox Theatre tickets sold separately. All Fox Theatre tickets for both acts performances must be purchased as part of a two show pass inclusive of a Red Rocks ticket. These two-day passes go on-sale through each respective bands' fan club ticketing on Wednesday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m. PST. You must be a part of each bands fan club to get these special Fox Theatre tickets (which again, come with a Red Rocks ticket). Log-on to and/or for membership information.

Tickets for the September 9 Red Rocks show will be available through TicketMaster, charge by phone and beginning Saturday, June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. MST.

STS9 has been impressing fans and critics alike with their innovative blend of rhythm, jazz, soul and technology. This five-piece draws inspiration from all genres of music and defies categorization. Their heavily beat-driven sound combines masterfully woven layers of guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and percussion into transcending soundscapes and infectiously danceable grooves. Their last trip to Denver resulted in two legendary sold out shows at Denver's Fillmore Auditorium. Look for STS9's DVD Live As Time Changes in-stores, on-line and at their shows in the fall!

Jurassic 5 was formed in 1993 by MCs Chali 2na, Akil, Zaakir and Mark 7even, and DJs Nu-Mark and Cut Chemist. These hip-hop veterans are known for their energetic live performances which include tightly crafted beats, skillfully harmonized word-flow and funk-inspired rhythm. J5 have proven themselves to be one of the most versatile hip-hop acts going, as at-home playing to several hundred people in a small club as they are playing to several thousand people in outdoor arenas and festivals. J5's last trip to Denver saw them sell out Denver's Fillmore Auditorium in advance. Look for the new J5 album to hit the streets later this summer!

Expect some new music this upcoming tour. I know they'll add another show at the Calvin Theater. Looking forward to that.

What's causing them to have very few dates this summer? Are they in the studio or just takin a break? I need my STS9 fix here in FLA. They haven't played down here since Easter of 05' and haven't seen them since. It's starting to hurt.

Sounds like a potential sensory stimulation saturation! I'm somewhat disheartened to hear that STS9 is matriculating to such a large venue, but what a trancedental setting for an unbelievable band. Go see them, but not too many of you. I want this to remain quaint.
