 The New Deal |
The New Deal is back for a run of shows in the North East, promoting their new live record 8.27.05.
Even with their cut-back touring schedule, (Dan [bass] is in England making a record with his other band "Dragonette"), the band's fan base continues to grow throughout North America. Their recent sold-out shows in the U.S. prove the band to be more relevant than ever, continuously progressing their sound and drawing inspiration (and audiences) from all genres.
Their new live "bootleg" style recording documents one of their more rowdy shows of summer 2005, and was performed from 3 a.m. till sunrise. The disc showcases the band's new progressive sound, as well as their classic balls to the wall improvised house and techno. The festival (Camp Bisco), hosted by their good friends the Disco Biscuits, became a much talked about performance on news groups and blogs, and through much fan encouragement is being released as the band's next show in the legendary "Sound and Light Live Series." The record will be available at shows and off the band's website May 20 2006.
On the international front, the New Deal have partnered up with Peter Jackson and Pete Dugas of Jackson-Dugas Management (ex-Sound Tribe Sector Nine Management) acting as their international distribution consultant. TND will also be setting up distribution relationships overseas.
