Dancing Wu Li Festival:
Throughout Goodie Goodie's untold years in existence our elders would speak fondly of a mythical event that would usher in a period of enlightenment and ready our monkey bodies for the next phase of how human's GOT DOWN! They would speak of the "Wu" –matter/energy... They would speak of the "Li" - universal order/organic patterns... They would speak of the...
The Dancing Wu Li Festival is a semi-annual arts and music gathering located at Snipes Farm in Morrisville, PA (40min north of Philadelphia, 1hr south of NYC). These festivals will bookend the season, with a spring occurrence May, 19-20, 2006, as well as a fall soiree October, 6-7, 2006. Being artists ourselves, Goodie Goodie Productions prides itself upon our impeccable taste in addition to our attention to detail. Thus, Wu Li Festivals are being sculpted as small to medium (3-5k) sized events whose national appeal attracts fans and musicians alike as a destination on their festival itinerary.
The spring Wu Li Festival takes place May 19th and 20th in Morrisville, Pa and will feature two days of music, camping, food, arts & crafts, and theater. The spring festival's main activities will occur on Saturday May 20, 2006 on two alternating stages (main stage and a smaller, singer/songwriter stage) between the hours of noon-midnight. On Friday, May 19, the gates will open at 3 p.m. for a small (500 person max) VIP Village of overnight campers privy to both special treatment (private viewing areas, food, etc) and a showcase of up and coming musicians as well as staged theatrical presentations. Likewise, similar pre and post-festival events are likely at various venues throughout Philadelphia.
Wu Li crowds will experience a mix of rock, blue grass, folk, and funk music on two stages. Acts include: Keller Williams, Blues Traveler, Steve Kimock featuring Jerry Joseph and Reed Mathis, Stanton Moore Trio, Turkey Boullion Mafia featuring Jennifer Hartswick and Christina Durfee, The Breakfast, RAQ, Pnuma Trio, Mad Cow featuring Calvin Weston, Dion Paci and Brian Marsella, Simple & Supreem, Bohemian Sunrise, MJ Project, Kate Gaffney, Ian Thomas, Ron Forzek, Ill Vibe Collective, ArcheDream, and many more.
