Paul Simon is set to release his highly-anticipated collaboration with producer Brian Eno (U2, Talking Heads) dubbed, Surprise. The 11-track album will be released May 9th on Warner Bros.

Guest on this high-profile release include guitarist Bill Frisell, drummer Steve Gadd and pianist Herbie Hancock.

Surprise is Simon's first studio album since 2000's You're the One, which has sold more than 500,000 copies in the United States.

At this time, the only live date on Simon's schedule is a May 7th appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. News has been leaked that a small-venue show in London is in the works to coincide with the new album's release date but details have yet to be announced.

this is HANDS DOWN the most exciting news ive heard in a while. Im a HUGE fans on Rhythm of the Saints and Graceland and collaborating with ENO!!!!! and Bill Frisell!! Holy Jesus look out for the best album of 2006. Not to mention Tchade Blake (peter gabriel / phish) and Herbie Hancock. Oh My god!! Audiophiles look out....this could be huge.
