WANEE FESTIVAL: 4.14 & 4.15

Best festival of the year, right here. The Bros., mule, NMAS, o.a.r., the wailers, Jack Pearson, MMW, and a midnite jam with derek trucks! Holy f-ing sh!t Got my tic, do you?

Suwanne park is absolutely the best place for a festival. It's the gem of living here in north Florida. You can't ask for a better setting; real camping under the pines and magnolias, spanish moss hangin' behind the main stage field, cozy shops and vendors, a second stage under the trees with very organic amphitheatre seating. They have a couple bluegrass oriented festivals in the spring and fall as well with premier acts.

But the Allman's party last year here was probably my favorite festival. Well, not probably... for sure. The talent last year was first rate, and is this year as well. Of course the spotlight is 2 nights of Allmans fresh off thier annual Beacon run. New Monsoon absolutely is mindblowing, and so is Railroad Earth (both played here at Magnolia fest too, welcome back boys ;) ). Derek Trucks is truly a virtuoso of our time, and his band is off the hook. Throw in the Wailers, Dirty Dozen, the moonshine infused sounds of the Allstars... man...so glad I bought my tix months ago ;) See ya there!

got my ticket in December before it was even advertised or announced anywhere but the website for the starting price of $100.

Suwanne is the best place very fun and cozy, It will always be the best little festival ever, and my personal favorite Festival alltogether. Lets keep Suwanne amazing, clean, and small.

Spirit of the Suwanee is by far the coolest venue I've ever step foot in. Minimal crowds, beautiful babes.. I mean, Spanish Moss, and ample camping space. I've been the last 2 years (SCI and Wanee Festival), and have been looking forward to this year since the last note of the ABB 2nd set last year. GT's with the solid six - and the addition of MMW?! Are ya kiddin me?
I've been to 6 World Series and a goat f*ckin, and I ain't never seen nothing like this...

Come on down to Florida and have some fun! Way down upon the suwannee river, is really great place to camp.

Been waiting for Wannee for sometime now. QUITE a strong strong lineup. I can already feel the energy of so many great musicians all on 2 stages! Best weekend of the year; i can't help but to laugh everytime I think of it! Hope to see everyone there. If you're coming from around Columbus, GA, drop me a line.

I am super pumped for this party!!!! So pumped in fact that my girlfriend and I are coming all the way from Maine. I kind of liken it to a devout Christian on a pilgimage to see the Pope......except the Pope is Butch Trucks and all of the disciples are on drugs. WOOOOO-HOOOOO!!!!!

I'm definately planning on making some noise at the Wanee Festival this year. I hit my head really fast with my hand when i think about all of the badass musicians at one festival.It puts some festivals to shame, I am HIGHly looking forward to attending this dominant music festival. This is the best festival of the year. It’s just my opinion, but MMW and Allmans might be my two favorite bands. Plus New Monsoon and Otiel’s peacemaker band, plus Derek and the Lee boys, plus North Mississippi All stars all in one of the best camping festival venues ever………..Ohhhhh snizzle sticks……….All I can say is I’m considering flying in from Japan just to be there and that is no joke.

Hell yeah! Glad to see so many positive posts about this fest. I can't wait! Just 3 more weeks and it's time to boogie down with the Allman family. I'll see ya'll there, if you don't have tix yet better hurry up, you will not regret it. BE FUN HAVE GOOD!!!

I have to agree, this festival is top of the list as one of the best of the year, no joke. Made the trip down from Chicago last time, flying down from Toronto for it this year ~ it's worth the trek! Between the beautiful surroundings, great stages, well-run vending scene, good, real bathrooms instead of just portolets, great kind peaceful crowd, golf cart rentals and of course the bands... it's hippie heaven....
