 My Morning Jacket |
On May 15, five years after the release of My Morning Jacket's remarkable, At Dawn, Darla Records will release a collection of demos from the At Dawn sessions, along with demos for the band's 1999 debut album The Tennessee Fire. These demos are the second batch of official MMJ rarities, following the 2004 Darla compilations The Sandworm Cometh and The Learning.
The At Dawn demos originally came as a bonus disc packaged with the album, but quickly fell out of print.

As previously reported, MMJ was forced to pull out of their NYE engagement at Madison Square Garden, as well as cancel a full Europe tour due to lead singer Jim James' debilitating case of pneumonia. However, JamBase is pleased to report that on Friday February 3, James sat in with longtime collaborator M. Ward at the Warsaw Brooklyn.
Look for My Morning Jacket at Coachella in April, Bonnaroo in June, High Sierra in July, and be sure to check out their performance on "Austin City Limits" set for broadcast on PBS on February 11.
