Perpetual Groove
Falcor and Friends, a bay area production company spearheaded by Matt Layton, has announced its first event for 2006. A Mid Winters Night dream is set to take place at Oddfellows Hall Santa Rosa on February 19th. The evening promises to be an eclectic smorgasbord of entertainment including DJ Motion Potion, special guest Jordan Feinstein from The Ritual and three full sets from Perpetual Groove. In addition to the live music, there will be a fully loaded side room complete with projections and lasers set to The Flaming Lips' album Zaireeka, to be played off of four separate sound systems at once.

A Mid Winters Night Dream is a costumed event with the theme focusing on winter as well as an emphasis on wood dwelling creatures, real or imagined. Everyone who attends is urged to take part in the festivities by dressing up to further the experience of all involved. Ryan Kerrigan has created an amazing signed limited edition print to be handed out at the end of the night; which is expected to go into the early hours of the following day.

This sounds like a blast. Somebody should organize a party bus from San Francisco, as I don't think most people will be in any condition to drive home after the event...

"a costumed event with the theme focusing on winter as well as an emphasis on wood dwelling creatures, real or imagined."

Sasquatch perhaps??

Is PlateFace a wood dwelling creature? I guess as an interdimensional being, anything is possible for the great Plate.

do not miss this show. the price may seem a bit steep at first, but remember that you are getting three sets from P Groove, one of which will have several special guests, Motion Potion throughout the night, Zaireeka all night long, beer and wine is included in the price, plus you get a limited edition signed poster...for $35...and from what people have been saying on P Grooves discussion boards... even the band is saying they can't wait for this one...

I am sure this is going to be a fabulous event Matt really puts his heart and soul into these things and as for the negative comment by jturner....grow up! It's fun to theme a show and have everyone join in. More shows need elements of fantasy added. Good work Matt

Umm...... I think Xingolati was a stolen idea from JamCruise the original and best cruise ship party experince. And Cheese New Years was a stolen idea from the Dead not Xingolati. Get your facts correct. Anyhow... Perpetual Groove is going to Rock NorCal no theme is needed for this event to occur.

it's strange that someone bearing the surname freakfreely would advise one to "get their facts right". believing the sci new year's experience derived elements of its aesthetic from xingolati, that's just his belief man, it's like his convinction, it's his freak.
