JamCruise 4 has teamed up with Remix Magazine and American Songwriter in search of a few lucky young DJs and solo artists to join them on a musical adventure of a lifetime. After sorting through hundreds of worthy submissions, the committee has chosen 18 finalists – and now the fans get to pick! Cast your votes at www.jamcruise.com between October 12 and October 19. Voting is open to the general public. The winners will be announced on October 24.

Finalists include P-Funk vocalist Kim Manning, solo groov-er DJ Williams, acoustic rocker Garrin Benfield, Chicago Singer Songwriter Todd Carey, musician-with-a-message GreenTaRA, rebel folkster Jeremy Harple, roots singer Justin Lacroix, musicologist and guitarist Papa Mali, soulful soloists Ryan Montbleau and Brendan O'Hara. On the DJ front, choose between Soul Eye and Sleepyhead, Ezekiel, John Henry, Jive the Universal, Kat and Kepi, Similak Chylde, Mikie Smithers, and SPIGGA. EPK's of each artist are available for viewing at www.jamcruise.com.

The lucky winners will join Gomez, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Digable Planets, Antibalas Aftrobeat Orchestra, Galactic, Umphrey's McGee, Keller Williams, Galactic, and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe. Also on the boat for year four: The String Cheese Incident side-projects (Remarkable Elba Kramer featuring Kyle Hollingsworth, Zilla featuring Michael Travis, Honkytonk Homeslice featuring Billy Nershi and Elastic Mystic featuring Michael Kang with DJ Lorin), Steve Kimock Band, Fantastic 4 (featuring Eric Krasno, Robert Walter, Cheme Gastelum, and Adam Deitch), and others.

Now in its third year, Jam Cruise has become a leader in the evolution of music festivals and cruise travel. For Jam Cruise 4 the Italian cruise line's MSC Lirica will leave port from Ft. Lauderdale on January 7, 2006, floating for six days and six nights with stops in Ocho Rios (Jamaica), Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands) and Cozumel (Mexico).

That's right – the bar is raised once again, making Jam Cruise 4 perhaps the first Jam Cruise where port stops and luxury accommodations will be up to par with it's always first rate artist lineup. The MSC Lirica first sailed in 2004 and is the cruise line's newest fleet addition. The ship boasts accommodations for more that 2000 passengers, offering more suites and ocean views than last year; plus fine dining, multiple swimming pools and whirlpools, gym and sauna, and much, much more.

Ask writer Richard Gehr (Village Voice, The Phish Book, eMusic) who was aboard Jam Cruise 3 on assignment. "I always thought a cruise was something you suffered through with your family for your grandmother's 80th birthday... Now I just hope that Jam Cruise is still around for my 80th birthday party."

There are less than 20 cabins left at www.jamcruise.com. Visit the website for cabin prices (prices range from $799 - $1749 per bed) and other details including terms and conditions and cabin reservation instructions.

Jam Cruise is presented by Cloud 9 Adventures: a partnership between Mark Brown of Florida's Brown Coffee Productions, Athens promoter Josh Moore of Jomo Entertainment, Roger Naber of Legendary Blues Cruises, and Joe Hanan.
