SHANTI GROOVE SHAKES SLAM-GRASS SCENE

From www.shantigroove.com:

Shanti Groove, fan favorites in the progressive bluegrass scene known as "slam-grass," continue to make musical waves as they refine their full-band, flat-picking sound and embark on a new chapter in their career with an upcoming studio album, national tour, and live DVD release.

This winter, Colorado-based Shanti Groove will release their latest studio album, yet to be named, the band's second studio effort, will feature new and re-worked material, and was recorded in Nashville with renowned producer Scott Rouse, a GRAMMY Nominee for Producer of Bluegrass Album of the Year known for his work with numerous music legends, including Doc Watson, Del McCoury and Mac Wiseman.

In anticipation of the release Shanti Groove is also embarking on an ambitious national tour. The band recently returned from an immensely successful tour of the West and Southwest, where they were joined onstage by celebrated guests ranging from Rob Wasserman to Del McCoury and Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon.

Following this summer's tour, Shanti Groove will release Home at the Fox, a live DVD and CD recording of the band's high-energy performance at the famed Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado.
